Secret Messages!

This encoder disk allows to exchange secret messages with
a friend, provided with same disc, after agreement on the secret disk
setting. Make a coder for each friend you want to share the secret
messages!


Create the disk coder on light cardboard with symbols.



and another one with letters and numbers.



Punch an hole in the centre of the 2 disks and put a pin in the
centre so that 2 disks may rotate one with respect to the other. The coder disks are ready to use.

In order to use them, you shall agree with your friends the secret symbol of the external disc that you want to apply. Rotate the inner disc up to have the red arrow indicating the agreed secret symbol.

From now on, not to rotate the disks anymore. To write the message
you have only to write, instead of the needed letter, the corresponding
symbol on the external disk. Your friend, in order to decode the
message, must set its disk coder on the same secret symbol, and to
write out the letters correspondent to the symbols in your message.
